Achieving Excellence in 2012

The Lethbridge Sport Council is excited to announce the winners of the 2013 Lethbridge Sport Council Achievement Awards for their 2012 achievements and contributions to sport in Lethbridge. These awards recognize and celebrate outstanding achievements on and off the field, which support and demonstrate respect of the game, a love of sport, respect for others and a commitment to fair play and ethical sport.

Lethbridge Sport Council Chair, Dr Gary Bowie said, “Together we celebrate with Lethbridge the immense dedication and tremendous accomplishments that took place within our sport community in 2012. This year’s recipients carry on a strong sporting tradition in our community.”

We are pleased to announce the following awards winners:

• Junior Male Athlete Chase Florendine, Little League
• Senior Female Athlete(sponsored by Pronghorn Athletics) Liz Gleadle, Javelin

• Special Olympics Athlete Marsha Oudman, Swimming
• Coaching Excellence Kent Aitchison, Swimming
• Officiating Excellence Stephanie Grace Nordlee, Basketball
